Windows 11 ARM driver

Windows 11 ARM driver
Will there be a Windows 11 ARM driver for the Spacemouse? The Surface models with ARM should be relatively powerful so that you can work with 3D CAD software on the go.
Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
We don't have anything concrete that we can share at this point but it is obvious that Windows on Arm is certainly a platform of interest.
You mention 3D CAD software. Can you elaborate a bit more? What software is currently available natively for ARM64 and what is the system (machine) that you're using?

Hello, I use a Surface Pro X and it runs SolidWorks. Of course it's not the best machine, but it works quite well for creating smaller 3D models on the go.
Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
yes, it runs as x64 emulation. But I saw that there is already an ARM driver but for macOS.
Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
I am using for Space mouse drivers version 10.8.3 on Window11 pro ARM 22H2 virtualized via Parallels desktop on MacBook Pro M2max. It works fine.
However newer version 10.8.16 incorrectly identifies Windows version and does't install.

Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
OK, so that was a wrong answer?
Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
The driver included in v. 10.8.15 of 3DxWare 10 (and newer) requires a system call that was introduced in Windows 10 version 2004. It looks like the check is invalid in Windows 11 for Arm or the required function is missing (unlikely).
Currently, 3Dconnexion does not officially support Windows 11 on Arm.

Thank you so much. it works fine.

Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to run Solidworks 3DExperience on an M2 Pro Max like some of you above and the add-in is just not launching.
I've used it for afew years with a space mouse up until the latest versions then encountered issues like @PeterARM above.
I'm happy to stick with the ARM compatible 10.8.14 until 3DConnexion brings back compatibility with the latest 3DXWare driver (10.8.17 as at today)
Has anyone managed to get the current version of Solidworks working with a spaceMouse.
When asked by each party, solidworks points me to 3DConnexion, parallels points me to 3Dconnexion, 3DConnexion says its a Dassault systems problem.
What baffles me is that other similar software like Fusion360 manages to work just fine.
I wish we could make our own drivers for these apps.
This is a deal breaker for me if I can't use my space mouse with Solidworks.
Cheers

Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
I just tried installing the latest windows 11 drivers on my WIndows Arm version running on Parallels and I'm getting the same error. Are there any plans on getting a Windows 11 Arm driver for the Space Navigator?
Thanks
Michael
Thanks

Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
Need this for parallels 19 running solidworks 2024 MacBook Pro M3. please fix the install bug!
This product is only supported on Microsoft windows 10 version 2004 (20H1) or newer.

Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
I've also managed to get 3DxWare 10.8.14 installed on Windows 11 ARM previously, I did a deeper look and noticed 2 drivers were skipped: 3dxhid.sys and KMJ Emulator. Without 3dxhid.sys I wasn't able to reverse an axis to use my preferred Up/Down zoom orientation, plus the speed settings weren't being applied. So presumably 3dxhid.sys is just a pretty straight forward low HID filter driver that takes in the preferences from the app and augments the raw HID input. Everything else DOES work without a hitch under emulation.
As a result of this lack of ARM support, my 3 devices had been gathering dust for much of the year. And I've been a longtime 3DConnexion user since CadMan!
Would the devs at 3DConnexion please consider compiling even an alpha, unsupported versions of 3dxhid.sys and KMJ Emulator for ARM? As a stop-gap until there is official support? As a former developer I can only assume it's not very difficult (vs. building everything for ARM). I mean, come on, just look at all the posts of these boards, help us out here.

Re: Windows 11 ARM driver
I also have the v10-8-14 driver installed on a M3 MacBook Pro with Parallels/Windows 11 ARM. I intended to use a recently purchased SpaceMouse Enterprise with SketchUp. For reference, I am using extensions only available for the Windows version of Sketchup. The device's primary functions are working correctly, i.e., puck. The programmable buttons (1 through 12) will accept native SketchUp commands; however, I cannot assign a macro/keystroke to them. The primary keys on the SpaceMouse Enterprise are not functioning: ESC, Enter, Tab, Shift, CTRL, Alt, Space & Delete. Except for the delete button, all buttons on the right side of the device are functioning. I've contacted technical services from 3Dconnexion, Trimble/SketchUp, and Parallels, none of which could resolve the issue.
I see value in using this device and hope this forum can provide a solution.

SketchUp Pro: v23.1.340 64-bit
