TDxUnrealEditor will not build in UE 5.3.2 C++ project

Post by jamesparker »

Hello, I'm having some trouble with the unreal plugin.
The plugin seems to work perfectly with blueprint projects. As soon as I add c++ to the project and enable the 3Dx plugin, building the project fails.
On build I get this error:

Code: Select all

Could not find definition for module 'NavLib', (referenced via Target -> TDxUnrealEditor.Build.cs)
10>Microsoft.MakeFile.Targets(44,5): Error MSB3073 : The command ""C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_5.3\Engine\Build\BatchFiles\Build.bat" MyProjectEditor Win64 Development -Project="My Project Directory" -WaitMutex -FromMsBuild" exited with code 6.
Strangely, I can still start up my project, and the spacemouse works. But recompiling in either editor or IDE both fail with that error.
Disabling the plugin completely clears the error.

These are what I have installed:
3DxWare 10.8.19.3708
3DxWare 17.8.19.20805
Says "up-to-date"
Unreal Engine 5.3.2
3DxUnreal 1.2.0

I have the plugin in the "plugins/marketplace" folder. I've also tried with the plugin only in the project plugins folder, no difference.

Thank you!

Hey skmiec,

That's good to hear.
Is there any insight you can give me on what causes this, or perhaps a temporary workaround?

The issue that you reported (WIN-1599) was fixed in v. 10.8.20 of 3DxWare 10, published earlier today.

The software is available for download from here.
