active_k vs focus_k

Post by Omniflux »

Looking for clarification on property active_k vs focus_k.

active_k states
Clients that have multiple navigation instances open need to inform the navlib which of them is the target for 3D Mouse input. They do this by setting the active_k property of a navigation instance to true.
focus_k states
Clients that run in container applications via the NLServer proxy set this property to indicate keyboard focus. This will set 3DMouse focus to the navlib connection.
I am using navlib.h, so as far as I understand, not using the NLServer proxy. Setting active_k on a navigation instance unsets it on the previously active instance, but does not update which instance data is sent to. Setting focus_k, however does.

Also, is anyone handling requests sent via the Developer Support Requests form, or is it a black hole?

Sorry for the delay. Some of us were away from work and there were no replies for a few days.

Your requests were handled yesterday (Aug 10).
