3D Mouse not working with Cinema 4D on M1 Mac

Re: 3D Mouse not working with Cinema 4D on M1 Mac
The last response I got from 3Dconnexion Management is that Maxon still has to remove the complete 3Dconnexion code/dialog from C4D within one of the next updates to allow the new system wide 3Dconnexion driver to work... Though this makes sense, I wonder how the team @ Maxon hast not been resolving this ages ago...
Re: 3D Mouse not working with Cinema 4D on M1 Mac
I've just set up an M1 MacBook and my SpaceMouse doesn't work with Cinema R25 but does work with R21 -
I guess that means it's an issue with Maxon rather than 3DConnexion -
But as someone else said you would have thought they would liaise to avoid these issues!

3D SpaceMouse Pro is also not working in Cinema 4D on 2019 MacBook Pro (without an M1 processor) 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9. OSX Big Sur 11.7.3 (20G1116). Cinema 4D Lite (2023.1.1) (Build 2023.CL389492.48653). 3DConnexion Home Version 1.2.2 (1.2.2.307)
Is there any help or support for using this device in Cinema 4D?

Re: 3D Mouse not working with Cinema 4D on M1 Mac
M2 Max Macbook pro here, I was sooooo disapointed to see that my wireless spacemouse wasn't working on C4D last version.... I mean, really disapointed. I have contacted maxon about this, here's what they said:
However, Rosetta mode makes my spacemouse working, but at the price of performances...Hello Anthony,
Thank you for reaching out the Maxon technical support and we are sorry for the issues you are running into.
Our developers working together with 3Dconnexion on fixing of the Spacemouse support for Cinema 4D, but unfortunately for now, it has not been integrated to work natively on M1.
The timeline for a fix will vary depending on the impact (how many customers are affected) and severity (how bad the bug is), as well as the status of new feature work. As such, I cannot provide a time estimate of when it'll be fixed.
We are sorry for this inconvience.

Hello,
The latest release of C4D (2023.2) has removed their space mouse plugin.
So I assume there will be support from in the 3D connection app or through a dedicated plugin for C4D soon?

Has anyone seen if the Spacemouse works with the latest Cinema 4D 2023.2.0 update? Crossing my fingers for some good news...

Could you please provide us with some information on timing for this? Are we talking days, weeks, months away from being able to use our 3dconnexion devices? Thank you!ngomes wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 12:42 amThat's correct, yes.Wolfnimations wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 8:50 am So I assume there will be support from in the 3D connection app or through a dedicated plugin for C4D soon?
Re: 3D Mouse not working with Cinema 4D on M1 Mac
Support for Cinema 4D version 2023.2 is included in v. 10.8.0 of 3DxWare 10 for macOS released today, March 30th. The new solution based on a plugin maintained by 3Dconnexion. The plugin is supported in Intel and ARM64 ("Apple Silicon") editions of the application.
The software is available for download from here.
Please note it is necessary to install the driver software after updating Cinema 4D as the plugin files must be copied to a specific location in the application installation directory. If Cinema 4D is installed a non-default location, the plug-in files may need to be copied manually.

Hours? But we were indeed late by two weeks from our original schedule on the Mac release (the Windows code did ship at end of February as planned).contact@joeski.com wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 6:02 am Could you please provide us with some information on timing for this? We're sorry for the inconvenience the delay may have caused.

Re: 3D Mouse not working with Cinema 4D on M1 Mac
Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
Normally, a plug-in does not offer the best user-experience. For example, the installation is now more difficult: customers will have to remember to reinstall the driver whenever Cinema 4D (C4D) is updated. This is because the plug-in files need to be copied to a location that is only present when the application is already installed. Also, major application updates will require a new plug-in build (the current add-in will likely not work with version 2024 of C4D).
But it sure is nice to have something that works again, both on Intel and ARM64.

Works all right, but there is a strange little icon appearing when I navigate.
Is there any way to remove it? Its annoying
