Hey,

First comment to RBC9 - GREAT DRIVER!!!

But there is one problem with RBC9-Software. I have create 3 profiles and export them to .bind Files. I add the software to the Autostart menu for automatical loading on system boot.

The Software runs great till I reboot the System (Win XP - SP2). Then the Software starts but there are no profiles in the list. Now I must load my profiles manually with the "import-function".

Is this "normal" or a known bug? How could I solve the problem?

no , the problem ur talking about is not "normal", and i don t see it b4.

the layout are stored in registry ,

So , if u tell me that the driver and the exe works correctly till u reboot. I don t understand why the reg-key are delete.

have some Reg-Cleaner / monitor running ?

could u check if the registry are where they are supposed to , b4 reboot , but with the RBC9 exe stopped.

May be my exe does something wrong when it stop.

(Export bind is not mandatory , it s for "backup" purpose ...)

Thanks for your help....the registry entries are also there till reboot. After the reboot of the system, all registry entries of the rbc9 Software are deleted. After creating a new profile, a registry entry will be create.

Have you had a chance to take a look at my installation issue?

" ...I follow your instructions at page 1 in this post and get stuck at the "update driver software" screen. Effectively, I don't see any RBC9 device. The only device show up is the "USB Human Interface Device". May be your driver only works with a SN and ST later than 2004.

Anyway, my ST USB device ID is as follow:

USB\VID_046&PID_C623\5&2D7CD7CF&0&1..."

I am dying to try out your driver with my ST. I would buy the SN and try it out; however, it only has two buttons and my applications Pro/Engineer, Solidedge, AutoCAD required the extensive use of the middle button and scroll wheel.

- could u check the file RBC9-SpaceNav.inf in your Windows\Inf directory.
there should be a line with
%RBC9_TRA.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_046D&PID_C623
- in ur post u write USB\VID_046&PID_C623 --> 046 ?? not 046D ?

have u saw this ?

i think u don t choose the correct device in device manager ...

u should have 2 "device" ...

--> one with something like "Compliant interface (HID)"
--> and the second "User interface USB"

u should update driver on the second device

i ve remove some code for the registry check in previous version. I did not take time to rewrite and debug this part. But i know (i think) what i have to do. I ll try to do it this WE.

Sorry, I make a typo and miss the letter D. My USB device ID is
effectively

USB\VID_046D&PID_C623\5&2D7CD7CF&0&1

I check the RBC9-SpaceNav.inf in the Windows\Inf and the line you describe is as follow:

%RBC9_TRA.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_046D&PID_C624

I modify the value PID_C624 in the .inf file to PID_C623 and repeat the update driver process. The RBC9 SpaceTraveler MouseJoyKey v2 shows up now. Let me complete the installation and will keep you posted of the result.

I complete the update driver process and encounter two problems:

1. Even though I have all the devices (RBC9 SpaceTraveler MouJoyKey v2, HID Keyboard Device and HID-compliant mouse) as describe after updating the driver process, the pointer / cursor doesn't move.

2. When I launch the RBC9*.exe file the window is cut off at the bottom at the Deadzone slider bar level. I can see the tip of the Apply, Calibrate and Cancel buttons with no word. This is probably due to my laptop 1920x1200 native screen resolution.

Please advise.

i am using the SpaceNavigator to play the game Half-Life -tfc. But it is too sensitive. Is there a way to reduce the speed / gain of individual axis?

I tried the 3dcon driver but it had no effect on the game.
currently when i play i find i am soon looking at the sky or turning because too sensitive. Hard to contol.
I turned the games mouse sensitivity to to minimum, no help.

Any help would be appreciated .

First of all: Thank you very much for your excellent work!!!

I have two points:

1. If the Vista "User Account Protection" (UAC) is activated, it's not possible to store the binds (or program settings) in registry. The registry-path "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\RBC9SpaceNavigator\Layout]" is without values. After restarting the .exe of your driver only the default settings are available.

2. I can't use mouse functions. All other driver functions (Keyboard/Joystick) are working perfectly.
The System Control (Hardware) shows a yellow exclamation point in pointer devices. The properties shows a Code10-Error (Device could'nt start) If you need a screenshot i can post it when i'm at home.

Can you or someone else give me some hints, how can i fix the mouse device?

i use SN in HL / CS ...

u have to adjust sensi in the game with a joystick.cfg
