setting up hotkeys???

ok, so i have a tablet and bought the space pilot to work in tablet mode in mudbox. i get that it currently dosent work with mudbox (why??????)

but i cant even setup hotkeys so i can adjust the brush size and diameter. i can make the key (say b) but it dosent work in any program, but say a key like "spacebar" does (like in word)

why do some keys work and some dont?

Hello eclark3d,

You are having troubles setting up a config for mudbox because it is not yet a supported application--the driver doesn't recognize it. It is possible to create configs for these apps.

This post talks about doing this for notepad, but mudbox is the same exercise.

opps, posted to soon, it doesnt work...

when i open mudbox, the lcd switched to mudbox as it should. but the "b" and "m" keys were mapped to button 1 and 2 respectivly, but they dont do anything in mudbox. ;(

1) Try rebooting.
2) Make sure your scg file mods work with notepad where you can see it.
3) Some apps don't support Windows input in the "standard way". We have an alternate macro mechanism that you can try that works with some apps. See this post.
4) If neither works, you are out of luck...for now...

Hey Jim,

Looks like i am SOL.

1. rebooted multi times to no avail...

2. the mod does work with notepad.

3. sadly, the alt macro did nothing

4. yep, otta luck
