Pro Engnieer Center of Rotation

Post by mauger14 »

I'm having the same problem as all of you, except I'm using Pro Engineer. When zoomed in on a particular component in a large assembly, the 3D mouse spins the model using the assembly orgin and makes the mouse unbearable to use. I'm about to return it later this week unless somebody can help me switch it to spin around a mouse point.

Hi,

I splitted your post from the SolidWorks thread.
Your 3D mouse will always use the rotation point that is set in Pro/E.

For example you can do the following:

A) Disable "Spin Center" on the toolbar
B) Middle-click anywhere on your model and moove the 2D mouse a bit
C) Verify your 3D mouse now rotates around the previously selected point

If you cannot set the rotation point with your middle-mouse button, even if "Spin Center" is off, it may be that the software for your 2D mouse prevents Pro/E from recognizing your 3rd mouse button. Quit your 2D mouse software and try it again, it should work now.
