Hey guys,

This is mainly directed to 3dconnexion driver developers.

I'm using AutoCAD 2009 and when in paper space when you lock the Scale ratio.
If you move the 3d connexion mouse while its locked the mouse will move and zoom the drawing, instead of panning it.

Btw Love the mouses helps heaps in CAD

Thanks MadCad. :D

Hi,

I tried to understand and reproduce this, but it seems to work for me.
This is what I tried:

A) Open 3D House.dwg sample file
B) Got to paper space
C) Open Properties and select the viewport
D) Set "Standard scale" to 1:50
E) Set "Display locked" to "Yes"
F) Doubleclick in the drawing and verify 3D mouse moves the paper, not the view (works)

Could you please explain what must be done to reproduce the issue?

Ok, you locked the display and you double click the viewport to get into the model and your mouse will not pan it will zoom in and out as usual when it should be just panning to keep the scale correct.

You mean if the view is not locked (which should prevent the view from being changed) but the scale is constant you should be able to pan the drawing but you don't want to zoom/unzoom?

when the scale is locked it should only pan not zoom otherwise it loses the ratio.

This is the same with a 2D Mouse (zooming is possible even with Standard scale set). We are now tracking this issue with ID 5012.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by 'locked'.

What do I need to do to lock the scale? What do the viewport properties read?

Ok sorry if I've been a bit brief in my explanation.

1) Open 3D House.dwg sample file
2) Got to paper space
3) Set "Standard scale" to 1:50
4) Click lock Viewport

Note: So at this point you should have a viewport with a scale locked to that scale.

5) Now the "Viewport" is locked the scale when using the 3d mouse with the viewport active it shouldn't zoom but pan around the viewport.

This is the same with a 2D Mouse (zooming is possible even with Standard scale set). We are now tracking this issue with ID 5012.
with the 2d mouse it zooms but limits it to the whole paperspace and doesn't zoom in the viewport.

Thanks
Madcad.

Currently the issue we are having is that we do not see the issue you describe. With the property 'Display Locked' set to 'Yes' only the paperspace view is pan and zoomable.
