Hi,
Is there an Xinput driver available for the Spaceball 5000 on Linux? I am trying to use the Spaceball to remotely control a Linux workstation via XDMCP, running through Hummingbird Exceed (http://connectivity.hummingbird.com/pro ... index.html) on a Windows computer. Hummingbird Exceed supports the Spaceball 5000 but for XDMCP, uses the Xinput Extension to send instructions to the remote machine. I've contacted Hummingbird technical support, and apparently I need to install an Xinput based driver on the Linux machine in order to use the Spaceball over XDMCP. I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
unfortunately our driver for Unix and Linux does not support the XInput Extension.
Maybe a modification to the xserver config described here could serve you as base for a workaround?
