Maya 2019

Post by rwilliams23 »

I installed 3DxWare64_v10-5-12_r2890, but am unable to activate the SpacePilot Pro in Maya 2019. It works fine in Maya 2018, but not 2019. Is it supported? Maya 2019 was released last week, so it makes sense if it's not supported yet.

Hi rwilliams23,

we added support for Maya 2019 to 3DxWare 10.5.12. So, yes, you should be able to navigate in you newer Maya version.
  • Did you do the full install of the 3Dconnexion driver?
  • Did you install the driver after you installed Maya 2019?
  • Can you see a menu item "3Dconnexion" in Maya 2019?
  • Are you running the applications with the same user level? See here for more information on this.

Hi UtaSH,

Thanks for your clear reply! :-) In answer to your questions:

Did you do the full install of the 3Dconnexion driver? Yes.

Did you install the driver after you installed Maya 2019? Yes. (Before installing Maya 2019 I was using v10-5-10r2812. After installing Maya 2019, I installed v10-5_12_r2890. Maya 2018 stil works, 2019 doesn't.)

Can you see a menu item "3Dconnexion" in Maya 2019? Yes, but selecting 3DConnexion/Properties, produces this error: C3Dconnexion.mel line 1630:
Cannot find procedure "_3DconnexionProperties" And in the Plug-in Manager, attempting to load 3DxMaya.mll gives this error: The specified procedure could not be found.

Are you running the applications with the same user level? See here for more information on this. Yes. Both 3DxService.exe and maya.exe are running with an Elevated status of "No"

Maya 2019 not working for me also with the latest 3DxWare64_v10-5-12_r2890. It's dead completely, it's working in Firefox, Maya 2018.5 but not in Maya 2019

This is the error I got when I click on the 3DConnexion within Maya 2019.

Error: file: C:/ProgramData/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins/3DxMaya/Contents/scripts/C3Dconnexion.mel line 1630: Cannot find procedure "_3DconnexionProperties". //

// Error: file: F:/Programs/Maya 2019/Maya2019/scripts/startup/autoLoadPlugin.mel line 35: Unable to dynamically load : C:/ProgramData/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins/3DxMaya/Contents/win64/2019/3DxMaya.mll

I followed the path and I don't even have a ProgramData folder on my C root. I installed driver after I installed Maya, cause I assumed it will work like 2018.5 is working with np.

Hello all,

I apologize for the mis-information. I was wrong telling you that 3Dxware 10.5.12 has support for Maya 2019 included. This will be available with the next driver release only. Sorry for that. :|

Unfortunately I cannot publish any release date because this depends on the results of the testing process.

Hello guys,

Any news, it's almost April and still no support for Maya 2019? You might as well start working on 2020 version :D

Hi,

With 3DxWare 10.5.13, Maya 2019 is supported and that is the current driver available. Do you have the current version installed? If not, I would advise that you update. Please contact our Technical Support Team, if you still are having problems.

Regards,

Hi ogaya,

what exactly is not working as you expect it?

Are you on Windows or on macOS?

Which driver version do you have installed?

It’s look like frames drop.

I have latest driver version *15. (I gave space navigator)

Windows 10, Xeon 2683 v3, 16 ram, RTX 2080

I have same problem in Inventor 2019, Rhino 6.
