Hello daizhuo,
which driver version did you install?
Have you tried different USB ports?
How do you determine that no device was found? From the 3Dconnexion panel in the System Prefs? Or did you check in the system: Finder -> About this Mac -> More Info ... -> System Report -> Hardware -> USB ?

Mouse Driver 10.4.4
OSX 10.12.5
In system preference pannel>>3Dconnexion>>tools, no device found.
In system preference pannel>>3Dconnexion>>Device, device selection can't be display.
But in About This Mac>>system report>> USB>>USB 3.0, can find ' SpaceMouse Compact'.
In Launchpad, 3D Mouse Home can't be open.
So I think it's your driver has some problem. Pls fix it!

I have the same problem. Spacemouse compact connected via USB to a Mac. Running OSX 10.13.3
The space mouse does move the cursor on the screen, but the 3Dconnexion system pref panel says: No Device found.
I already:
Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver
Unplugged and replugged the USB also to all other ports.
Doesn't work. Really disappointing....

@Utash: Would you mind sharing your information with other people? I have the same problem and can't solve the issue even after reinstalling the 3Dconnexion drivers on Mac OS.
Thanks
Thanks

Hi Both,
I apologize for the confusion. 3DxWare 10.5.1 for Mac is not ready for the SpaceMouse Compact.
We plan to release the new driver that includes support for our latest addition soon. Please bear with us.
Thank you.

We had the same issue, No Device Found and the SpaceMouse was acting as a regular mouse.
We solved it by going to System Preferences > Security and Privacy
There will be a Button waiting for you to allow the system to use the drivers installed for the Space Mouse.
Hope this will help others in the future.

Hi,
I've reinstalled and allowed access in the privacy settings but the spacenavigator still doesn't work as it is supposed to. All directions move the cursor like a regular mouse would if you would slide it around. Twisting the knob moves the window up and down.
In the settings I still have the message that no device was found.
I've done exactly what is mentioned in your FAQ but still no change. Only thing that did change is that the trainer now starts if I click it. Before I've allowed the acces the trainer would not start.
Any suggestions what I should try next?

Hi JWtje,
You may want to try a clean reinstallation of the driver following these steps as an admin user :
-“sudo rm -r /Library/PreferencePanes/3Dconnexion.prefPane”
- rm -rf /Library/Extensions/3Dconnexion.kext
- rm -rf /Library/Frameworks/3DconnexionClient.framework
- rm -rf /Library/PreferencePanes/3Dconnexion.prefPane
- rm -rf /Applications/3Dconnexion
- rm -rf Library/Preferences/com.3dconnexion.*
- Install 3DxWareMac again

Re: no device was found in osx 10.12.5
Hi, I have found a work around.. certified as "Works on my machine"!
I had exactly the same problem. SpaceMouse Pro was working just like a mouse - moving the cursor on screen.
After "allowing" the developer application as described in the FAQ's I could access more of the demo applications, but my SpaceMouse Pro was not recognised by the 3dConnexion configuration application.
My resolution was to go to Security & Privacy > Firewall
Turn off the firewall
Back to 3DCOnnexion configuration and boom! My SMP is now shown.
I then turned the firewall back on again.
Back to 3dC config and SMP is still showing - get in!
Opened Fusion360 and... yes!.. Panning, tilting, rotating and zooming like a boss.
I think I'll need to jump through this little hoop each time I restart the computer. Anyone know which other application or services need explicit permissions on the Firewall?

Re: no device was found in osx 10.12.5
Cuperman, I'm interested in your solution as it is the first time I have read that the firewall may be the problem. I turned mine off and re-installed the plugin. Is that what you meant in your post? If so, it didn't make any difference for me. Like others here, my SpaceMouse Compact acts like a normal mouse, moving the cursor around but not the way that was intended. I am not convinced that the various bits (hardware/software/whatever) are actually talking to each other.
It does seem from the many, many posts on this subject here and elsewhere that unless all the planets are in a particular alignment, it's a matter of "Computer Says No". I read another post here that suggested the software for my SpaceMouse Compact had not been updated for the Mac. That was back in March. It's a bit like selling a car and then admitting that its design has not yet been tweaked to enable it to use motorways! Can't say I wasn't warned though.

Hello simoncbevans,
our current driver for macOS - 3DxWareMac 10.5.2 - supports the SpaceMouse Compact. Make sure you have the correct version installed. In addition make sure you follow the instructions from FAQ #1127 (as I mentioned already here).
