Old SpacePilot on Windows 10

Post by takedownca »

I have a SpacePilot that runs fine on my Win7 machine, but it's not recognized on Win10. On Win7 I'm currently running v10.4.6 of 3DxWare. On Win10 I downloaded the latest version (10.5.4). I know the SP is no longer officially supported, but it's not blocked from being recognized either. All I get now is the LCD lighting up with the 3dx logo, but no functionality whatsoever. FYI I'm trying to use it with SolidWorks 2016. Thanks for any help.

Hello takedownca,

since 3DxWare 10.5.0 the legacy SpacePilot is not recognized any more by the driver. You need to go back to 3DxWare 10.4.10 which is the last version that (inofficially) supports the SpacePilot. You can find this version in our driver archive.

For me, it is working fine on both win 10 and win 7. Maybe for you, the bug of cache is causing issues with the packages of installation on your windows 10 computer/laptop.
