C4D No Rotation, No View Shift

Post by Thom0ne »

Hello,

I can't seem to rotate my objects in XY or Z.

Also, the T, F, R view shifts are not working.

After looking around in the forum and the instructions I'm not sure what to do about it.

Any advice?

Thanks

Hello Thom0ne,

the buttons for the views are not set for C4D. As far as I remember we didn't find a possibility to map those functions. If you know a keyboard shortcut to trigger one of the views you can map it to the corresponding button.

Does the driver recognize C4D correctly? If you open the driver panel does it say "CINEMA 4D"?

Try if removing the existing settings might solve the problem with the rotations. See here how to do that.

C4D uses F1 for perspective, F2 for F, F3 for R and F4 for Top.

When I try to quick config the changes they don't seem to take effect.

Hello Thom0ne,

I have tried the shortcuts but do not see any issues. They work the same way as the keys from the keyboard work. I recommend that you contact our Technical Support Team. Once you have received an email from them you can send them a log file of the driver and your config file for C4D.
