Use of Spacenavigator on Mac with Bootcamp+WindowsXP ??

Post by kinnik »

Hi all!

Unfortunately there are still a lot of applications which are not supported on Mac (in comparison to Windows).

If I would install "Bootcamp" (http://www.apple.com/de/macosx/bootcamp/) on my Mac so it could run Windows XP, would it be possible to install the Spacenavigator windows drivers and to have support for all the applications listed here http://www.3dconnexion.com/solutions/cad/2aa.php ??

Hi kinnik,

We cannot vouch that every single application will run on a particular system. That is something that only the application editors can do.

What we can say is that the configuration that you have (Windows on a Mac-Intel hardware) is indeed supported by the 3Dconnexion Windows driver.

Installing Windows on an intel-Mac hardware is not a "trick" or obsure feature anymore and it is widely supported in many ways (bootcamp is one of those). So, I think it should work as you expect, standing what is mentioned by Nuno in the previous response. Personally I didn't try it.

If you go that route, please report your results here. It would be useful to share your experiences.
