SpaceMouse Wireless is too slow in comparison...

Post by RetardedTiming »

I use a Space Pilot at work with the sensitivity turned all the way up. I have recently bought a SpaceMouse Wireless for home use.

I've already turned the sensitivity all the way up but it still doesn't match the speed of my Space Pilot.

Is there a registry setting or something I can apply to turn up the speed of my SpaceMouse Wireless? This is super annoying.

Of course, you can adjust the ultimate scaling in the application profile.
Which application are you using?
Which 3DxWare driver?

Great!

I'm at work so I can't check which 3DxWare I'm using at home, but the SpaceMouse Wireless is a recent purchase. I downloaded the latest software from the website no longer than two weeks ago.

I'm using 3.17.8 at work with my SpacePilot if that helps.

I'm using both within SolidWorks 2014 sp02 Windows 7 64-bit.

The SpaceMouse Wireless uses a newer driver (currently v10.0.22). If you want to be consistent, you can use that driver with both of your devices (SP and SMW). It will work with both.

It is easier to modify the 10.0.22 Cfgs.

So I think now I see where to adjust the application profile speed.

It's outside of SolidWorks now, not a pull-down within SolidWorks like with the 3.17.8 software.

I see the speed tab now. Because it's grayed out when not selected it's not really apparent. I think maybe I just didn't see it at home because I have a new workstation graphics card that by default has the brightness turned up too much and it was washed out.

I also noticed with this version of software it doesn't show a graphical indication of the speed setting on the SpacePilot, so I didn't think it was adjusting it at first. But once I tried it in my workspace I could tell it is in fact adjusting the speed.

I will check it out at home later tonight and report back.

Thanks for your help!
