As expected - the 3DConnexion driver is not working properly with Maya 2014. In addition to the other problems I've mentioned with previous drivers, now the driver is back to outputing "set1 set2 set1 set2 set1 set2" to the script editor window. It makes it hard to read what I need to see in the Script Editor, and it also causes me to lose me selection sometimes.
If your current staff cannot make it work with Maya, then that means you need to get other people.
Please make a driver the works! I paid $400 for my SpacePilot Pro and you advertise that it works with Maya so please do what you need to do to make it work! I've been complaining for years and years with you. What else can I do?

I am using the new 3.16.3 driver. However my signature on this site was still showing the older version.

Valen,
does it make a difference if you check "Suppress Command Results" in the script editor?

Re: Maya 2014 Driver....more problems!
If I enable "Suppress Command Results" then it no longer outputs "set1 set2...." to the Script Editor. However, it still outputs it to the results area in the lower right corner of the screen, and it still slows down processing and navigation performance in the viewport just like before.
Thanks,
Valen

Re: Maya 2014 Driver....more problems!
Any news on this? We consider buying some devices for our art department but struggle with some issues in Maya.
Like Valen said, having "Auto" checked, the viewport stutters anytime we use the device while an object is selected, active tools (e.g. Interactive Split Tool*) get canceled and windows with content related to the selected objects get closed and reopened (e.g. Attribute Editor, look at the tabs), ... All of it happens every time it outputs those set1, set2 lines in the Script Editor.
So, using the "Auto" option, it is quite annoying to work with Maya.
Turning the option off makes the device useless in our opinion, since, if no object is selected, the rotational center is oddly placed quite often. This way, it's most likely faster and more intuitive to use Maya's inbuilt functions with a regular mouse or tablet. When you advertise that your devices fully support maya, we expect that it works with any settings, not only most of them. The ability to automatically set a particularly suited point to rotate around is a huge feature and (at least for us) one of the main criteria for such a device. At the end of the day, it should facilitate the work flow.
As long as this problem occurs, it seems to make no sense for us to equip our art department with 3Dconnexion devices. It would be great to know, if you are working on this and if we can expect a fix in the near future or not.
By the way – drivers are up to date and the issues occur both on Windows 7 and OS X Mountain Lion.
* Moving the camera with the SpaceMouse Pro while using the Interactive Split Tool outputs the following in the Script Editor:

Re: Maya 2014 Driver....more problems!
I am using the current 3.17.4 driver with Maya 2014 and I can confirm that it is still having the "Result: set1 set2" script editor output problem. Very frustrated that they aren't fixing this.
