SpacePilot PRO / Function Keys App missing after Restart

Post by Durahl »

Good evening!

I'm having a problem related to the SpacePilot PRO LCD and/or the Software managing the LCD though I'm not sure what exactly is causing this but let me explain:

Whenever I do a full restart of Windows7 64Bit Ultimate I'm missing some or all Apps on the LCD associated to the SpacePilot PRO. ( currently only using the Function Keys App )
The only thing visible is the Bar on top of the LCD with the SpacePilot PRO Letters on the upper left and the 3D Logo to the upper right. ( So the LCD Itself is working )

To solve the issue I have to log off and back into my Windows Account. Just pretending to switch User won't do.

Returning to Windows after Sleep doesn't cause this problem.

Next to the SpacePilot PRO ( 3DxWare 3.12.3 / Logitech LCD Manager 3.06.109 ) I'm also using a Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard ( Logitech Gaming Software 7.0.0.291 ) with similiar display technology.

Any Ideas on how to solve this one?
Thank's in Advance! =)

Hi Durahl,

are the "Programs" in the LCD Manager configuration panel enabled for the SpacePilor PRO?
  1. Open the Logitech LCD Manager configuration (double-click on systray icon);
  2. Select “Programs” on the left side of the panel;
  3. Tick all check boxes in the “3Dconnexion SpacePilot PRO” column.

Durahl,

do you see the same problems if you uninstall the software for the G13?

Mhh...

The problem was kinda "solved" with the Logitech Gaming Software 7.0.0.291 uninstalled as the LCD now shows a green "Switch to Program:" Interface I've never seen before featuring the Function Keys App but then again...

How am I now supposed to use the Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard now that it's Software is missing? =)

When you had both software installed (for G13 and SP PRO) which one did you install first? Does it make any difference if you change the order when installing?

Do you happen to know into which folder the software for the G13 is installed?

The G13 Software used to be installed first.
With both installed again ( SpacePilot PRO first this time as I had to reinstall both ) the problem is back.
The green "Switch to Program:" Interface though lasted this time but again without the option to choose an App.

The G13 Software ist installed in it's standard ( not changable ) Folder:
C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software\LCore.exe

The SpacePilot PRO Software is installed in a different Folder:
D:\Hardware\3Dconnexion\3DxSoftware\3DxWare64\3dxsrv.exe

Just noticed by killing all 3 Apps ( Logitech Gaming Software 7.0.0.291, Logitech LCD Manager 3.06.109 and 3DxWare 3.12.3 ) from System Tray and then Starting 3DxWare first followed by the Logitech Gaming Software I'm able to solve the Problem without the need to log off and back into Windows.

Now if I just could set the order in which those two should be autostarted =)

Actually the 3DxSoftware installs Logitech's LCD Manager, too, namely to C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software. This might cause the problem.
