Problem with Pan While Zooming in Solidworks 2010 and Win7

Post by IlFincoITA »

Hi all! I'm a new user of the space pilot. When i'm zooming in a part I reach a poit where it cannot be closer but the point on the screen i'm trying to get move up and I cannot pan to go there. Seems that the possibility to pan is reduced to a small portion while I've zoomed in a lot.

Is it and issue? or you simply have not implemented this possibility?

You know, in the past when I zoom in with my mouse (rolling the central button) the center of zoom was my mouse pointer on the screen... a feature very useful... now with the space navigator i could have some similar with panning while i'm zooming but if the pan is restricted for some reasons this is a pain...

Hi,

It sounds as the "Keep in View" option (3DControl -> Properties -> Keep in View) is activated - does it make a difference if you disable this option?

Excellet... thankx for the quick answer. Turning off keep in view make the Space Navigator the tool I need.
