CADMAN USB no longer works with solidworks 2009

After updating from SW08 to SW09 my cadman usb no longer works.

please tell me that this is not another software enforced attempt to force me to replace a perfectly good 3d mouse ?

What release version of 3DxSoftware are you using?
(3Dconnexion Control Panel, Help, About)

What Operating Platform are you running on?

Does it work in the Jet Demo?
(Start, All Programs, 3Dconnexion, 3Dconnexion 3DxWare, Demos)

Jet Demo and all others work fine

3dxware version is 5.92
firmware 2.26
device type cadman

i get the following message when starting sw09 (sp0.0)

With the release of version 2008, and all future releases, SolidWorks dropped support for "old style MFC extension add-ins".

At that time, serial devices and the Cadman were no longer in "extended support". Consequently, their software was not updated.

I HAVE IT WORKING !

install the 'current' driver pack for the cadman BUT NOT THE ADDIN FOR SOLIDWORKS

then got get the pack for the space pilot (3.6.11) and install ONLY THE SOLIDWORKS ADDIN

and as if by magic it works again .....

hope this helps others who have been disapointed by 3dconnexions software support.

I've got the same problem - except mine didnt work in 2008 either. I've installed the latest cadman driver, but dont know how to do your 2nd instruction:

where do I find the "pack" and how do I install only the driver?

I figured it out... just customize the install of the space pilot driver and deselect all the other items except solidworks. And now my CADMAN works too!
