Help Needed Urgently !

Post by madeehamerchant000 »

Hi,

I just got the Space Pilot Pro & have the following problems:

-When I am using Maya or 3Ds max, on win XP... SP2.... the controller doesn't work. Nothing is functional. No buttons and no controller cap... It only works in Google Maps. Not even sketch up. How do i make it to work on any other software. I was thinking it should detect itself after the driver installation, but it seems not to.

Also, the controller cap works on a Mac but how can I get the 2 buttons to work.

What is the suggestion.

What version of Maya, and 3DSmax are you using?
Did you download and install the Current driver?
If you had anmy of the applications running at the time of intallation the adins will not get installed.
Close all apps and reinstall the current driver.
Also if the reinstall doesnt work.
You can do a manual install for both the applications.

* Manual Installation
Copy the "3dxstd.dlu" file from "C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion Plug-in for 3ds max"
to the "stdplugs" sub-directory of 3dx max.
Copy "3DxStudio.chm" to the help sub-directory
If you are using 3ds max 5 and higher copy 3DxStudio.ms to the scripts\startup sub-directory.
That's all.

* Manual Installation
Copy the "3dxstd.dlu" file from "C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion Plug-in for 3ds max"

Copy "3DxStudio.chm" to the help sub-directory
If you are using 3ds max 5 and higher copy 3DxStudio.ms to the scripts\startup sub-directory.
That's all.

* Loading the plug-in

- First use of the plug-in:
i) In order to use the SpaceMouse/SpaceBall, you must make sure that the driver is running;
ii) Start 3ds max, the plug-in should now be loaded and a banner is displayed.

- Automatic load of the plug-in:
No action is required if 3DxStudio.ms is located in the scripts\startup directory

SpacePilot and SpacePilot Pro are not supported on a MAC.
