SpaceNavigator: Blender doesn't load the plugin

Post by redkrayola »

Hello,

I have a problem with my SpaceNavigator PE. Everything works fine (demos, other software) except for Blender (2.49b). When I start Blender no message appears in the console about the device and there are no configuration buttons in Blender or any functionality at all. I've copied the plugin-file in the described program folder. The device worked with Blender before I had to install my OS entirely new.

So I guess there is maybe a missing link/path or something.

PS: Blender is installed completely under Program Files, no files in "application data".

System: P4 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM, Windows XP Professional SP3, Python 2.6.2, latest drivers 3.7.18

You have to download and install the blender plugin.
http://www.3dconnexion.com/solutions/blender.php
Save the file
after download completes open the zip file
there is a readme file with instructions on how to install the plugin in the correct folder path

The plugin is already in the plugins folder of Blender. That is the problem.

I would suggest posting your issue under
viewtopic.php?t=1338
Blender is still a Beta plugin and with newer releases of Blender the plugin may need to be updated.
The programmers are watching that forum post as well.

I have four different '3DxNdofBlender.plug' files, and only one works. It is from March 2008. Try to find it.
