problems with example code

I've installed 3DxSoftware_v3-6-11.exe, and I can run the Cube3D Demo and it responds to my connected SpaceTraveler with any problems.

Next, I downloaded the Cube3DPolling and csMonitor demos. Both compile and run, but they don't respond to the SpaceTraveler. Rotation and translation data is zero, and it doesn't respond to any button presses (except the button that brings up the connexion control panel.)

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? I'm running Vista x64 Ultimate, and I using Visual Studio 2005 to compile the examples.

More information: Installing the .exe and compiling and building csMonitor runs fine on somebody else's machine (he has Windows XP ,32 bit.)

Weird - rebooting seems to have solved this problem! Nevermind...
