Solidworks SP5.0 Hide/Show

Post by bwtcon »

I have Hide/Show Component mapped and it works on the 1st file I open. Once I open another file it no longer works. I have to close Solidworks and reopen it again to be able to use the mapped command again. All other mapped commands seem to work all the time.

Anyone else have this problem? I just upgraded to 2008 SP5.0 from 3.0 and it used to work just fine.

Hi,

Please try the following:

A) Right-click on the toolbar and select "Customize"
B) Enable the "Assembly"-toolbar
C) Switch to the "Commands"-tab select the "Assembly" category
D) deag and drop the "Hide/Show Components" command to the assembly toolbar (not to the command-manager)
E) Click "Ok" and open the 3Dconnexion Mapping Panel from the toolbar
F) Expand the "Assembly" category and map "Show/Hide Components" to a button

Please let me know if this helped.

It seems to be working now. I had the Hide/Show components in the "TOOLS" toolbar, but that did not seem to work. Once I turned on the ASSEMBLY toolbar, then it started working all the time.

Thanks
