Constraints for Inventor

Post by BLAIRS »

Is "Contraints" going to be added to the list of standard commands for the "Traveler" for use in the Assembly" function of IV rather than having to write a macro in future driver releases.

thanks

Hi BLAIRS. Currently, we have no such requirement but we do welcome any input our customers feel is important.
Could you please elaborate a bit more on what you would like to have in the Inventor?

I use a SpacePilot at work and alway use one of the 6 used defined buttons for the "Constraint" function in Inventor assembly. This command is used more in the assemble mode than any of the other commands, yet has not made it to the list of commands that can be easly applied to any of the Traveler buttons. Every item that is placed in a Inventor assembly requires at least one constraint.

BLAIRS,
The "Constraint" function can be found in the "Assembly" list of functions inside the "Button Customize Panel". Simply drag and drop the function to your desired button.
