Recently on my 2019 MBP running Sonoma 14.4.1 I notice that the UARPUpdaterServiceUSBPD daemon grows slowly but steadily, eventually taking up multiple GB of memory. I don't know how to determine whether this is due to 3Dconnexion driver 10.8.4 or from something else. I have a fairly old USB-connected Space Navigator. It is working fine with this driver installed. But it is a pain having to reboot every few days to knock this hog back down.
Has anyone else observed this? Is there any way to tell what is causing the memory growth (I really don't understand what this daemon is supposed to do and can't believe it really needs so much memory unless it is a bug in Sonoma or some USB device is triggering it)?
UARPUpdaterServiceUSBPD memory leak?
