The Cinema 4D licence fee/subscrption fee(USD 719.00 per year ) is huge if you compare the price to 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse over the lifespan of the hardware.

in my opinion, 3dconnexion asked maxon to remove his drivers to forcing people with discontinued devices to buy new ones!
this is not be mingy, this is something else that I can't write here.

Your SpaceNavigator should work just fine with Cinema 4D 2023.2 provided that you have installed the driver after the application (the plugin must be copied to a subfolder of the application installation directory). See here.

The SpacePilot Pro is expected to work well with v. 10.8.12 of 3DxWare 10 for Windows, yes.

NOTE they’ve tried copying the driver over to the Directory and they are on the latest version of the driver

Unlikely to be an issue caused by the device type. The most likely issue is using an old driver (C4D 2023.2 is support in v. 10.8.12 of 3DxWare 10 and newer) or having installed the driver before the application update (the plugin files must be copied during installation to a location that only exists after the application is already on the system).
