Save and restore user settings

Post by skoda »

At the moment there is no easy possibility how to save or restore 3D mouse and/or CadMouse settings. Save or restore functionality will help in case an user wants to copy his settings to another computer or if original machine is replaced by another. I believe it will be appreciated by many users because to restore original settings manualy consumes long time.

Of course, the configuration files are located in "C:\Users\<user_account>\AppData\Roaming\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg"and everyone can copy them but who knows it?

I propose to add 2 buttons to 3DxWare in order to offer easy way how to save and restore the settings. Proposed solution at attached picture.

Is there any progress in this ?
Or are there other ways to set-up 1 space navigator with personalised 8 button radial menus in all the PTC creo environments and export/share these menus with colleague

I do not have any news from 3Dconnexion regarding this request. There is still possible to manually copy config files as mentioned before

There is an export/import feature in the new release (10.5.2).
