new photoshop CS3 plugin - brush size problem

Post by diego »

Greetings to everyone,
I've just downloaded the 3.3.2 version of SpacePilot drivers, eager to try the new photoshop cs3 plugin.

Just after entering cs3 I found that spinning left /right doesn't enlarge/shrinks anymore the brush size.

Since this was a real timesaving feature, I would like to know something about it. Have I missed something? Is this a bug or intentionally left out? Will it be put in again in the future?

Why don't you give us the option to assign handle movements to a shortcut as we do with buttons?

Thank you,
Diego

I need some more information to begin troubleshooting the issue:

- What language is your Photoshop installation.
- What language is your OS
- Is your keyboard layout meant for the OS language. In other words, do they match e.g. US keyboard with US English OS.
- What shortcut keys are assigned to increasing and decreasing brush size in Photoshop. Please look at Photoshop Edit->Keyboard Shortcuts...->Tools for this
- Does pan and zoom work ok

Adjusting brush size feature is part of the CS3 plug-in

humm,
glad to hear it's something pheraps regarding a trouble of mine...

- I have win xp x64 version English with italian user interface pack
- Photoshop cs3 standard , english version
- my keyboard setup is italian.
- Since I've just installed Cs3 and it's not yet in my production flow, I have not set any custom shortcut.. so they are the default ones, "[" and "]"

-zoom and pan works ok.

thank you.

after a brief mail exchange with support,
I've discovered that Photoshop doesn't read at all my "[" and "]" keypresses. So it's something related to the interaction between my italian keyboard setup and photoshop.

I don't think it's a 3dconnexion problem.

the workaround is simple: changed the shortcuts for brush resize to something less odd..

cheers,

and thank you again, Froi and 3dconnexion.
