Solidworks Switching Very Slow

Just got a SPP, first used 3dxware but couldn't get it to map to solidworks at all so I did a clean uninstall and switched to 3dconnexion software. Now in solidworks I am able to select and map my buttons, but switching between assembly and part options is about a five second delay of being unable to use my SPP for rotation or button input. I uninstalled and reinstalled the solidworks addin which didn't help. Then I uninstalled the LCD applets addin as one user suggested, that didn't help either. So now I'm looking for my next step. One user suggest uninstalling the Microsoft plugin but I can't find that anywhere. The SPP is completely unusable with this much of a delay. As a note, solidworks doesn't freeze, it is only the input from the SPP which is delayed for about five seconds upon switching from assembly to part.
