Hardware problem or configurable issue? Space Mouse Pro

Post by pentpent »

Hello,
We just purchased 4 new SpaceMouse Pro devices to our office. Three of them worked flawlessly with 3d Mouse Training software, but one seems to have an issue with left/right tilt. When the corresponding slider in Properties panel is tuned to maximum, a slow and shaky z-axis spin occurs laboriously while in Trainer's 'Roll' tab, but it seems it doesn't give a clean signal and thus other movements occur far more dominantly while in 'All Active' tab. Making it impossible to use. Tried the Calibration command several times but nothing. Three other devices worked excellently out of box, as I already mentioned. Are there any other ways to configure or is it a hardware warranty case?

System: Windows 7 64bit, latest drivers.

Best regards,
Pent

Dear pentpent,

In the 3Dconnexion Control Panel, make sure dominant is off and all your axis are enabled unless you are testing for a certain axis, then just enable that one axis for testing. Also test with our Jet Demo to see if you observe this bad behavior in more than one application.

Start
All Programs
3Dconnexion
3Dconnexion Contrl Panel
App Configuration Tab
Dominant

Start
All Programs
3Dconnexion
3Dconnexion Contrl Panel
Advanced Settings Tab
Individual Axis

Thank you Bryan,

Did all you recommended. This one device still doesn't do it right. In the jet demo the object keeps on drifting up-right and spins slightly when I try to roll it left. Impossible to get clean movements. With the other well-functioning Space Mouse Pro I can get clean movements effortlessly, but not with this one.
