slow dual monitor response in Max

Hi

I am using the SpaceTraveler inside 3D studio Max (7 and 9), it works fine when I have max open on one monitor but when I span it across two/dual monitors The navigation slows down far to much.

I am running max in OpenGL mode with an ATI FireGL V7350 on XP 32bit.

Any suggestions for a cure?

Please specify: is the navigation with the mouse slower as well?

Which types of monitors do you have attached to your PC?

Do you span your 3ds max window across the two monitors?
