I recently started with a fresh format and install on my computer, and installed the latest drivers from your website (3DxWare 3.1.8). However, despite multiple attempts, it simply will not save the button configuration, and sometimes even the custom functions have been deleted. I use Solid Edge V18 extensively, and it seems that the button mapping changes from model to model.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Where are you mapping the buttons from?
Try the below:
Use the 3D toolbar panel, click on show mapping panel.
From here map your buttons.
You should do this in all modes Part, assembly, draft mode.
Thsi will overwirte the default button mapping in the 3dcontrol panel next to the time in the corner.
