Hi all,
I have a USB SpaceExplorer and a USB SpaceNavigator attached to the same computer. I need to be able to use both, or at-least switch between the two, without physically unplugging either one.
Right now if the SpaceExplorer is plugged in it always takes precedence, regardless of which one was plugged in first.
Does anyone know of a way to switch between the two? or how to disable the SpaceExplorer when the SpaceNavigator needs to be used?
thanks

Dear Volvy,
You will need to unplug your SpaceExplorer.
Sincerely,

Hello volvy -
The released software - Driver 3.15.6 - does not have the ability to recognize more than one device. The beta software - currently 3Dxware 10 Beta 14 - does allow 2 devices to be connected at the same time. The software will show both connected devices and you can switch between them.

What are you doing with the two devices? Why do you want two? Do you want to use more? Are you doing the same thing with both?volvy wrote:Great, the Beta drivers do it

Re: 2 Controlers on 1 computer?
I've been using the beta drivers for some time, and I have 4 devices, but I actually never really used two devices at the same time. I use one with one hand, and a pen (for graphic tablet) or mouse with the other hand. I was very glad when the driver allowed multiple devices, but in the end I couldn't find any application. There might be one in future, but so far there is none.

One of the animation companies doing puppeteering with multiple devices. Think, the Muppets.
Of course, you could have an entire room full of puppeteers working together in one scene with a horde of 3D mice.
I've not seen it yet. Sounds cool.
