Potential problem

Post by BlindGeek »

I've got a problem with my SpaceNavigator.

If its plugged into a USB port and Windows Explorer crashes (such as a DEP problem), the spacenavigator no longer works in that usb port.

Currently its stopped working on 3 of my ports, and the only consistancy between them seems to be it stopped after a crash. Reboots don't help, neither does unplugging/replugging it in.

Potential fix....

Went into Device Manager, removed all my non active HID devices (from hid, keyboard and mouse), uninstalled the 3d Connexion software, reinstalled the 3d connexion software, rebooted, plugged it back in and it worked

Hi BlindGeek

It seems to be a pure Windows related problem.
