Button configuration in Pro/E

Post by alfredix »

Hello everybody,

I'm using a space pilot, 3Dx software 3.1.8, and Pro/E WF3 M060 64bit.

If I start Pro/E without part/assy/drawing, the default mapping for Pro/E is listed in the Space pilot's display.

If I open/create a part, the mapping change to Part1 configuration.
This configuration stays till the end of this Pro/E session.
Means, even if I open an assy or drawing, the displayed button mapping stays with "Part1".
(Up to now I'm only using configurations provided by 3Dx)

The apropriate thing happens when I open/create an assy as my first action in Pro/E. Button mapping stays with "Assembly1" till the end of this Pro/E session.

Can anybody confirm this?
Is it known to 3Dx?
Any fix for that available?

best regards

Button configuration in Pro/E

Hi alfredix

Could you specify what kind of login do you use while working with Pro/E? Is this a login with normal user rights, or do you have associated some administrative rights too?

Please specify your configuration (operating system, service pack, attached USB devices) as well.

Could you test a similar scenario on a 32 bit machine?

Hi Agoenczi,

I am adminstrator on that machine.
It is a
Tyan S2895 board
AMD 2x Opteron 285 dual core
8GB RAM
PNY quadro FX4500
win XP64 bit (latest updates installed).
USB Speakers attached, nothing else
I can't test it on 32bit machine, sorry.

Hi alfredix

I have to test this on a 64 bit machine with WF33 M060 64 bit. On a 32 bit machine I already tested: it worked.
