when i try to open the 3Dconnexion control panel it says ...

i just got my space navigator and already bad news everything got connected fine the software was installed fine and when i opened the 3dconnexion control panel it says "this application has failed to start because SPWINI.dll was not found Re-installing the application may fix this problem".so i did exactly that i reinstalled clean so many times through the add-remove programs in the control panel but it keeps on giving me the same answer i am extremely in need of this hardware to work for my projects that was my whole purpose of this purchase.

my computer specs are
intel xenon dual core 64 bit
3.00 ghz
2 gig's of ram
and original windows xp 64bit with media

please reply as soon as possible

Interesting.
Does the driver run? Does the 3Dx icon appear in the systray?
Do you have a spwini.dll and a siappdll.dll in C:\Windows\system32?

BASICALLY I SEARCHED THE HARD DRIVE FOR THE SPWINI.DLL AND PASTED IT INTO THE DESKTOP AND EVERYTHING WORKS LIKE A MIRACLE.THE NEXT THING I AM GOING TO DO WHEN I GET NONEY IS TO BUY THE SPACE PILOT

Well, that's not the recommended procedure, but as long as you are up and running we can readdress the problem if it occurs again.
