Installation under Win2000 SP4.0 faild

Hello.

I want to install the driver "3DxSoftware_v3-1-8.exe"
but i get the Message "--- can't find layout.bin on Disk 1".

I've no Install-CD used. I do use only the driver from Internet.

I've first installed the Windows Installer 3.1.

What can i do?

Hi DJMuethos

Did you have had a previous driver-version which you updated?

If so, please remove all 3Dconnexion software (with the "Add/Remove Software" Windows utility). Please read as well my post.

Afterwards try to install the newest driver (v3-1-8 ) again. It should work without any problems.

Please post your findings here.

It doesen't work.

I have not a previous installation.

I see you are from Germany.
