Expensive paperweight - how to return?

Post by RasmusB »

I'm starting to think I'm not meant to have a SpaceNavigator.

Remember this thread?

Well, everything worked out that time and the device finally behaved properly. I used the device all night that friday, and on saturday too. Worked like a charm.

But today - nothing. It's stone cold dead. The computer doesn't react when I plug it in. No LED's light up, the 3DxWare Control Panel won't start.

Suspecting a hardware failure, I plugged it into my laptop and... it's still stone dead.

In conclusion, I believe it to be a hardware failure since:
- It worked pefectly on both computers yesterday, bot none of them even detects it today
- The blue light doesn't come on when I plug it in either of the computers
- Reinstalling the drivers doesn't make any difference.

So, if anyone doesn't know of a solution, i need to return this and get a new device. How do I proceed?

Edit: I have tried a third computer now. No difference... still dead.
