ACAD.RX

Post by agoenczi »

Hi KevinC

Please open ACAD.RX with Editor and check if it contains the line:

<Installation>AutoCAD200x\acad3dx.arx - where AutoCAD200x may be: AutoCAD2004, AutoCAD2005, or AutoCAD2006

If it contains more lines, please check which line calls "smalltools.arx" and remove that line.

smalltools.arx

Hi KevinC

Please search for the file with the usual Windows utility, which tries to start "smalltools.arx" in the AutoCAD installation directory. I know nothing about an utility from 3Dconnexion, which would require this file. Please let me know, if you find something.

ok, so I finaly got it to work, There is a support folder under

C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin Cwalina\Application Data\Autodesk\Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2004\R16.0\ENU\Support

This folder contained a file called acad.rx and it had the smalltools line in it. So I replaced it with the other file that was in the C:\Program Files\Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2004 folder. The next time I loaded the program it loaded. So I supose the thing to keep in mind when installing with this version of the program is this support folder.

Thanks for the help.
