CADMAN and Inventor Pro 11 SP2: button config is not working

Post by Shock99er »

Hello,

Even after updating to the latest 3dConnexion (http://www.3dconnexion.com/support/down ... v2-8-2.exe), I still find that my CADMAN does not respond with the actions set on any of the 4 buttons.

Any hint?

Thank you

CADMAN and Inventor Pro 11 SP2: button config is not working

Hi Shock99er

Did you try to use the buttons in another application too?

How did you mapped functions to the keys? Did you used the driver GUI, or the add-in? We advise our users to prefere the add-in, because the add-in is context sensitive, it "feels" the modus which Inventor works.

Hi agoenczi,

thank you for your kind reply.
As you guessed I was using the driver GUI to set up the button functions, and actually those didn't work.
BTW after your suggestion I discovered there is a add-in but unluckily all buttons appears dimmed (not colored, un-clickable) and so I'm still stuck with it.
Is there any guide to set up this add-in to make it work properly? I had a quick view on the help file but I sadly think I need a step by step tutorial this time

Thanks again

Hi Shock99er

I have to try to reproduce this issue. It could take a day, or two.

Hi Shock99er

Unfortunately the CadMan is an old device not any more supported. I didn't find any software version, which would support CadMan under Inventor. You can still navigate with the device, but you will not be able to use the keys.

Hi Shock99er

You could try just removing the plug-in for Inventor (3DxInventor). You can still use the button mapping tool of the driver.
