Cadman driver support for Windows XP 64?

Post by joel.jonker »

Hello everybody,

I've got a new computer system and that is running under Windows XP 64 Bit. But when I install 3xWare 2.8.2. (the latest for the cadman) the install procedure runs fine and compleet, but nothing gets installed?

No folders, no files, no control pannel icon, nothing.. and cadman doesn't work.

Is there something I might be doing wrong?

The cadman runs fine under regular 32 bit windows XP

System

AMD Athlon 3800 X2
2 GB memory
Raptor 150 GB

Windows XP 64 bit
Solidworks 2007 64 Bit
3DsMax 9 64 Bit

Best Regards

Hi joel.jonker

Did you try to install the 3DxSoftware with administrator privileges?

Yes, I did.

I have tried to install version 3.x to see if that one installs a folder and control panel and that works. Only the cadman is not supported (I think) because it wasn't working.

So....

Update:

I've called the supportline and after a few minutes it became clear that the Cadman will not work under windows XP 64, because of the fact that the cadman is a "end of life" product and no new drivers will be developt.

So I've ordered a new one :D
