3ds Max Target Camera and Undo

Post by philosofix »

I have switched to using the Target Camera Mode to alleviate the constant redrawing of the Layer Manager, but . . . now when I go to undo, using either hot keys, from the keyboard, mouse or menu it Undoes the Camera movement, not the action I want to Undo.

Please help! I need to work and all of the slowdowns are adding up. I buy a tool to help speed things up and I fix problem and another comes up.

moving a camera is an action. Imagine you would move a camera with the mouse, and you wanted to undo this movement. Then the 'undo action' makes sense.

So you only have to leave the camera that you use as viewport in place when you edit the geometry. Switch to other views to check the change, don't use the viewport camera.

Using perspective view and the layer drop-down appears much more intuitive to me, but it seems that it does not suit your habits.
