Button Config will not remember Num key 5

I'm having a problem with the Button Configuration. I have set up a Custom Function for the 5 key on the Num pad, in 3D-Coat this sets Orthographic view mode. I can assign it to a button on the Spacepilot and it works, but only for a little while. After some time it switches to another function. I have tried assigning it to several different buttons and this always happens so I think it is a software problem, not with the mouse. Is this a known bug?

we are not aware that there is a problem with the software mapping button 5.

• Is there a specific time after that the mapping changes?
• Do you save the mapping manually or do you have the option "Automatically Save Configurations" enabled?
• Can you test this with another application (e.g. Google Earth)? Map something to button 5 and see if the mapping changes.
• When the mapping changed please open the 3Dconnexion Control Panel and see what configuration is selected at the top of the window.
