Google Earth spinning workaround

I know what you're going to say.
This topic has surfaced before, but I haven't seen a clear solution yet.

As soon as I touch the spacemouse the globe starts spinning without stop.
I've tried everything from what I've read in the forums but nothing works.
And I don't think by contacting google I will ever get a reply.

My brand new Spacemouse is connected at the back of the pc.
If I unplug it (whilst in Google Earth) and plug it again, it works fine.

I also tried connecting it to an 7 usb port hub that I have. Momentarily in worked fine but then it wouldn't work at all meaning windows wouldn't see it.
Could it be a USB conflict?

Any ideas?

Actually I think it is a USB issue.
At the back of my pc there are USB 3.1 gen 1 and gen 2ports.

When the spacemouse is connected on the rear ports the spinning in Google Earth happens.
I tried again on the 7 port powered USB 2.0 hub. It worked momentarily because it wasn't getting any power from the hubs external power supply.
I unplugged and plugged the hub's power supply and now it works fine.
I also tried it on a 4 port USB 2.0 unpowered hub connected on the rear ports and worked fine.
I also tried it on the pc case's from usb 3.1 port and worked fine.

So I guess something is happening with the rear 3.1 ports that either spacemouse or Google Earth doesn't like which then makes the viewport spin.
