Smart scroll mouse focus

Post by travisrogers »

I love the smart scroll feature as it allows me to move quickly through long web pages, but I notice that if I hover over another area of the page (browser tabs), or another app window entirely while the scroll algorithm is still running it will transfer the remaining scroll activity to what's underneath my pointer. This usually results in my long line of browser tabs suddenly moving to the other end or my node window in Houdini scaling out of control (the scroll wheel zooms here). I would expect that either the smart scroll algorithm would stop when it detected that my mouse was outside of the window it was initiated in or that it would ignore the change in hover focus, requiring me to initiate a new smart scroll in another area / app as opposed to transferring it to the new focus.

Please let me know if this is not clear. I'd love to get past this little "gotcha" bug as it's constantly interrupting my flow.

Thanks!
