Hi,

One of our users is using the software but gets the errormessage seen in the attachment, the mouse does work but the errormessage doesn't go away.

what we have done, fully removed and re-installed driver - same issue

"the 3DxVirtualLCD Unhandled Exception error occurs when there is data corruption in the "user.config" file of 3DxVirtualLCD.exe.

To correct the problem, stop the driver then delete the folder [or folders] in the 3DxVirtualLCD folder that has the "user.config" files.
Start -> All Programs -> 3Dconnexion -> Driver -> Stop Driver
Delete the folder(s) named 3DxVirtualLCD.exe_Url_... located at: "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\3Dconnexion\"
Restart the driver. A new "user.config" file will automatically be created."

(start - all programs doesn't exist anymore in win 10 how does one stop the driver in win 10?)
3DxVirtualLCD.exe_Url has been deleted but same error and the file has not been re-created

What are our options here?

What's the Windows 10 version, 1809 or 1903 ? And what's the 3DxWare version?
Anyway, try install .net framework 4.8 runtime on the Windows 10 OS. Download .net framework 4.8 runtime from M$ website. Or may be you have to reset the PC, to go Windows start, settings, Updates & Security, Recovery, Reset this PC...

A system reinstall may also help to resolve this problem, but it's a bit time consuming.

Hello shagohodds,

there seem to be something wrong with the access rights to the user's %LOCALAPPDATA%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare folder. Did you remove it and restart?

In case this doesn't solve the issue please contact our Technical Support Team for help.
