Mouse will Not Stop Rotating Model Unless Calibrated

Post by Dlahner »

I am using the SpaceExplorer in SolidWorks. Every time I reboot my computer, when I open a model it is slowly rotating and will not stop. I can still move it with the SpaceExplorer, but it will not stop slowly rotating on its own. This will continue until open the Control Panel and click the Calibrate button. This activity also occurs when I open the Puzzle in the 3D Mouse Home screen. If I unplug the mouse it will stop. When I plug it back in, it resumes rotating. I have updated the software. I don't know how to make this go away. While I can fix the problem with the calibrate button, it is very annoying. If I forget to do this and open a larger file in SolidWorks, it makes SolidWorks crash because the file keeps updating the view as it moves, while trying to load the file. I have had this issue for years, but find myself just ready to unplug the 3D mouse and work without it.
