Making my old HP Space Pilot (not Pro) work in 2019

Post by starboy »

Hello!! So, i've been messing around with the legacy drivers to try and sort a puzzle for my SpacePilot to work with 3DSMax 2018, 3DS Max 2019 and Sketch Up 2019. AND everything is working now with my old 2007 Hewlett Packard Branded SpacePilot    ! So, thought i'd share with you guys what i did:

The base driver i'm using is 3DxWare64_v10-4-10_r2558. This is the latest know driver to have *unofficial support for the Space Pilot.
From 3DxWare64_v10-5-6, i've used 7-zip to extract the installer and get the 3DS Max 2018-2019 plug-in installer (components64\3DxStudio folder).
From 3DxWare64_v10-5-13 (latest to date) i've did the same to get the SketchUp 2019 plug-in installer (components64\3DxSketchUp folder).

Now, i know that maybe i can face some incompatibility or stability issues, but so far i've been using this solution for a week, no errors, everything is working fine. Hope I could shine some light in using old devices!
