Win10 RDP Successful

Post by johnrsmithphd »

Have read a bunch of posts/forums where it's stated that RDP is not supported for space mouse devices and that it is necessary to purchase a USB-over-RDP software which hovers around $200 USD. Tested those softwares, and they do work, but found an RDP-enabled solution for Win10 client connecting to Win10 host (only configuration tested). These are not high-level devices and require a few adjustments.

On the client: enable RemoteFX USB from the group policy editor and run "gpudate /force" from the command prompt.
On the host: set 'Do not allow supported PnP device redirection' to 'Disable' within the group policy editor and run "gpudate /force". See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/337 ... windows-10.

Hopefully this helps some of you remoting into your workstations.
