using 3dspace mouse as normal mouse in certain applications

Hi,

I recently got the space mouse and would like to use it as a normal mouse but only in certain applications.
couple of months ago there was a similar message (https://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewt ... 25&t=36153) and
user jwick had posted a configuration script for doing the same. It makes the space mouse works as a 2d mouse but in all apps.
Is there a way to switch it somehow? Also is there any documentation for the same?

You can assign a button on your device to a function that will swap between 2D and 3D mouse mode. You in effect lose a button dedicating it to that task.
